Caps are choking bad. Rangers are getting some awesome goaltending and cracking down on Ovechkin.

Boston vs. Montreal - 5-1
New York vs. Washington - 1-0
Detroit vs. Columbus - 4-0
Calgary vs. Chicago - 2-3

Amazing job Boston, you wrecked Montreal. Same with Detroit. Washington had another bad game, and I doubt they'll come back. I don't really know what's going on with Calgary and Chicago, but good job again Chicago.

Go Bruins.

I'm proud of Chicago - 6-0 vs. Calgary this year. Sad thing is, if Calgary would/could play 60 straight minutes, this should be 2-0 Flames.

Chicago has been pretty lucky so far. Winning in OT then getting down 2-0 to come back and win. Oh well. Go Hawks!

So I haven't been watching too many games, but I've been keeping up.

Pit vs. Phi - 3-1 Series

Philly put up a fight, but they're gone next game, unless they pull something out their ass. Then they're out game 6.

NJ vs. Car - 2-2 Series

This is a close series, I think it's going to game 7. Brodeur doesn't seem to be playing his best, which isn't good.

NY vs. Wash - 2-1 Series

Sadly, I think NY is going to take this. Btw, where are the goals, Ovechkin?

Bos vs. Mon - 3-0 Series

Boston is winning this in game 4. Nuff said.

Chi vs. Cal - 2-1 Series

Chicago has been playing pretty amazing. Calgary is going to pull something off if they plan on winning.

Van vs. St Louis - 4-0 Series

Canada, eh. Good job.

Det vs. Col - 3-0 Series

Columbus did good against Detroit in the regular season, but Detroit is taking his game 4.

Ana vs. SJ - 2-1 Series

No clue what's going on with San Jose. Only about 13% of teams come back from 2-0 in the playoffs, hopefully San Jose are part of that 13%.

Unlucky on Brodeurs part last night. But a nice job by the Canes.

Ovechkin has been shut down by the Rangers. They are doing a good job on him. He did get involved in their last game, the 4-0 win.

So Boston sweeps, Calgary ties, and the Rangers go up 3-1. Ovechkin's not getting out of the first round this year, either. At least he finally put one in the net (4 assists though).

Side note - haven't seen a shorthanded goal yet. Makes me sad.

Yeah, really shitty deal for Brodeur. He got hit out of his crease, was out of position, and got scored on with 0.2 seconds left. He wasn't happy.

Boston won 4-1, and swept the series. Really good job. New york takes another win, looks like they're winning the series. They've been doing amazing at shutting down Washington. Good job to Calgary too, tying up the series. Calgary and Chicago are both playing very well, and I think we may see our first series go to game 7 this year.

I'm assuming Pittsburgh and Detroit are both going to be winning tonight, moving them up to the next round. Hopefully NJ takes the lead in their series tonight, and hopefully San Jose ties it up, although I wouldn't be surprised if Carolina and Anaheim both win tonight.

Brodeur. 44 shots on net, 0 goals. Amazing. 1-0 win for NJ, they lead the series 3-2.

Brodeur wasn't the only one getting a much needed win tonight. Biron and the Flyers won 3-0, making the series 3-2. They have to play their absolute best if they want to win this series.

Columbus put up a fight in game 4, but they lost 6-5, letting Detroit sweep the series.

SJ and Anaheim game still in progress.

Calling it now - San Jose just played their last home game of the season. Anaheim will take it at home after going to overtime in San Jose.

Also, Kiprusoff looked soft tonight. He got yanked halfway through the game and stormed off to the locker room. I think Calgary's done too. Oh, and how about the Chicago penalty killers? ~1:30 of 5 on 3 with no shots on goal.

And that is how the capitals come back from a 3-1 series, which is awesome. Watched the last 10 minutes of the 3rd, and it was amazing.

So, the last game in the series is NJ vs. Carolina, NJ currently winning 3-2 in the 3rd.

Teams in 2nd round

Boston Bruins
Washington Capitals
New Jersey Devils/Carolina Hurricanes
Pittsburgh Penguins
Anaheim Ducks
Detroit Red Wings
Vancouver Canucks
Chicago Blackhawks

Assuming New Jersey wins, 6/8 of my predictions were correct.

3 sweeps, 2 game 7's. This was a very good round one. Can't wait for the second round.
